This is your opportunity to give those passions and talents new purpose by applying them to meaningful work at The Hartford. The Claims Processor works under general supervision to handle customer service and administrative duties supporting Livestock Claims Department operations including payment/indemnity processing, claims setups, distribution of all claim related paperwork, take and enter first reports for claims adjusters to handle, and etc.Livestock Insurance Claims Processing and File ManagementInitiate claims set ups as directed from the claims adjuster. Ensure all necessary forms are attached and email/mailing to the insured/agent is completed in a timely manner.Livestock insurance claim data entry to include specific claim information provided by the claim’s adjuster.Livestock insurance claim correspondence assembly and mailing/emailing using letters and related information provided by the claim’s adjuster.Livestock insurance claim check processing and issuance to the applicable parties. Include explanatory letters from the claim’s adjuster.Research issues that may arise after issuance of a claim check including escheatable checks, non received checks, etc.Prepare claims for review by claim adjuster.
