Our Core Technologies group is looking for a Java Developer who will join our Trade Settlements team in order to accomplish multiple initiatives within our various project teams. The teams continue to grow and provide opportunities for career advancement for its team members. They provide training, mentoring, and exposure to various product areas and development work streams. This is a great opportunity for anyone who is willing to learn and broaden their technical and financial industry experience.

o Works independently on design tasks.

o Program logic and flow-charting, testing, debugging and documentation.

o Specific skill requirements could vary based on the type of development being performed.

o Provides analysis of problems and recommends solutions.

o Prepares program specifications and develops coding logic flowcharts in compliance with secure coding standards.

o May lead discussions with the business and with business analyst.

o May work in conjunction with more senior developers.

o Works within established procedures and tools to develop, test, and validate security features and code review.

o Implement and maintain application software while following best practice application security throughout the code life-cycle.

  • 4 Year College Degree; Computer Science or related discipline or equivalent experience

  • 2+ years Java Development experience

  • Good working experience with Spring

  • 2+ years’ experience with Object Oriented Analysis and Design

  • 2+ years’ experience with real time, high volume transaction systems preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience with Waterfall, Agile, Test Driven Development or related lifecycle methodologies required

  • Financial services experience preferred

  • Experience with real time processing, relational database systems, and data

  • Ability to interpret business requirements

  • Experience with Unix/Linux, Windows

  • Demonstrated experience working with core business logic within applications

  • Military education or experience may be considered in lieu of civilian requirements listed
