Principal duties and responsibilities: (Essential job functions)Monitor areas of responsibility for GMP and Safety violations on a continuous basisInteract with Sales and Purchasing as a point of contact and act as a knowledge resourceEnsure proper use of QC communication such as status stickers and placardsPerform investigations to determine root causes of GMP and Safety violations uncovered during execution of dutiesPerform process captures for new or improved processesWrite SOPs in areas of expertise, and provide a technical knowledge base for other authorsAssist as needed in training of employees.Communicate effectively with others.Maintain a good attendance record.Perform work onsite.Perform other duties as assigned. Testing and Monitoring DutiesQC Inspector andndash; Production LinesPerform start- up line checks, evaluating compliance with GMP and company policy in regards to product weight, torque value, component verification, fill weight accuracy, silk screen accuracy and verify batch record information, and proper data entry.Perform regular checks on production lines, ensuring company specifications are being met.Audit finished goods and completed paperwork for compliance with GMPs and company specifications. QC Inspector andndash; Incoming ReceivingInspect, sample, and test incoming components against company specifications.Inspect and sample incoming sundry, mannequin, and raw material items for further testing.Recommend specifications, sampling plans, and test parameters for new and updated incoming materials. Enforcement DutiesQC Inspector andndash; Production LinesEnforce GMPs and company policies, and clearly communicate deficiencies to management.Identify, enumerate, and clearly communicate needed corrections and defects in finished goods to Quality and Production ManagementDetermine and apply QC status effects to Approved, on-hold, and rejected items QC Inspector andndash; Incoming ReceivingEnforce GMPs and company policies, and clearly communicate deficiencies to management.Identify, enumerate, and clearly communicate needed corrections and defects in incoming materials to Quality and Production ManagementDetermine and apply QC status effects to Approved, on-Hold, and Rejected itemsRequired Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: (Those which are essential to minimum performance levels)High school degree or equivalent.Minimum 2 yrs QC Technician experience in a production environment.Minimum 3 months experience working in production environment. Proven experience multi-tasking in work environment.Ability to use a variety of scales and measurement devices.Ability to work under pressure and against deadlines without sacrificing accuracy.Ability to proofread details, analyze discrepancies and make logical decisions.Cooperative attitude and interpersonal skills.Training in quality control techniques (2 years) or equivalent experience.Familiarity with and comfortable working with computers.Ability to read, write and speak English competently. Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities: (Those helpful to effective performance)Advanced math and statistical analysis skills.CRT or PC knowledge.Formal training or work experience in quality control or TQM.Minimum 2 years training experience.
