Ag Processing, Inc. Sales Representative - Renewable Fuels in Omaha, Nebraska
Ag Processing Inc is looking for a Sales Representative to be responsible for the sales and marketing of our biofuels and related products. This person will coordinate shipments, handle administrative functions within the renewable fuels sales department, and be responsible for building and maintaining a strong customer base for company sales.
Call on current and prospective customers in person or on the telephone to gather market information and transact sales of biofuels.
Research current and future market trends through contact with customers, information from new wires and trade publications.
Monitor customers’ requirements and usage of products and services through customer contract and tracking of sales history.
Monitor accounts receivable, contract arrears and railcars at customer.
Negotiate and price new and existing sales contracts.
Attend market and departmental meetings as required.
Develops sales plans.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Must have an understanding of commodity markets and trading principles.
Basic knowledge of hedging and futures trading.
Basic knowledge of vegetable oil and energy markets, logistics and ability to perform market discovery.
Knowledge of energy industry and or fats and oils industry.
Knowledge of industry regulations and guidelines.
Strong written and oral communication.
Strong problem solving and analytical thinking skills.
Must be organized and have high attention to detail.
Able to remain flexible and responsive when faced with multiple urgent requests.
Ability to work with diverse individuals and groups.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
Must be a team player.
Champion and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions.
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent required.
Basic knowledge of the biofuels industry with one to two (1-2) years of sales, marketing, trading, and hedging experience within the agricultural commodities industry preferred.
